President’s Letter: Join Us for Impact KC’s Kick-Off Celebration


Impact KC has emerged as the most dynamic giving circle in town – there is no better way to invest $1,000 in our broad community.  And it’s fun.

Created by a group of young, civic-minded friends with a commitment to improve Kansas City, 10 years later, our motivation remains the same, only our group of friends has grown larger.  In total, we have raised more than $775,000 for grant funding to support 42 non-profits in our community.

Once more, we ask for your help.  If it’s been a while, please join us again this year.

Please Renew.  Our impact this year begins with our past members renewing their commitment to our cause.  Thank you for your past support, and please consider renewing your membership here.  Also, consider asking your employer about sponsoring your membership or matching your gift.  Many local employers have been receptive.

Refer New Members.  We are excited to share our simple idea with others who are interested in making a difference in our community. If you have a friend or colleague who may be interested in Impact KC, please send their contact details to membership chair Heather Oberrieder at hoberrie@hotmail.com.

Engage.  While Impact KC‘s model remains simple – $1,000 = 1 membership and 1 vote – we encourage members who want to be more regularly involved to join a committee. Kick-Off Celebrations: Please save the date and bring a friend to our KCMO and JoCo Kick-off Celebrations.

  • 5:30 to 7 p.m. on May 6 at hip new Barrel 31 (400 E. 31st St. in the former Velvet Dog space)
  • 5:30 to 7 p.m. on June 12 at Bank of Kansas City in Olathe (12112 Metcalf Ave.)
